100 najboljih živih tekstopisaca – Paste magazin, na žalost, od prošle godine zbog finansijske situacije ne postoji u štampanom izdanju, ali je još uvek aktivan na Mreži. Ima  odlične recenzije za knjige, filmove i muziku i odličnu ekipu novinara-saradnika, ali to najmanje danas garantuje uspeh i dugovečnost jednog magazina na tržištu.

Poslednje obimno poglavlje i razgovor o umetnosti koje je uredništvo napisalo za regularno izdanje je 2006. kada je objavio detaljnu listu 100 najboljih živih autora tekstova za muziku.  Esej su naslovili Za naraštaj 20 veka.

Lista je kao i sve liste vrlo lična i raznolika, samim tim diskutabilna i inspirativna za dopune i komentare. Pored uredništva magazina Paste, listu je sastavljalo i 50 muzičara i tekstopisaca. Pravilo je bilo jednostavno: broj prodatih ploča nije bilo isključivo merilo da se neki tekstopisac nađe na listi, već uticaj koji je imao na muzičku kulturu i scenu i bio inspiracija za druge.

Dakle, kojih 100 autora efektivnih, intrigantnih i nezaboravnih muzičkih tekstova  je zaslužilo da se nadju na hall of fame listi od 100 najboljih?

Šarolikost liste je i u godinama – Conor Obers kao najmladji /26/  i Hal David /85/ ,u vreme objavljivanja liste , kao i u žanru i tematici- pisci tekstova za agresivan politi-hop grupe Public Enemy i šarmantno drske pesme Dolly Parton, od Morrisseya do The Flamingo Lips-a.
